The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers State Chapter held its Thanksgiving service today, 2nd September 2024, to celebrate and thank God for the successful State Congress exercise.

The state Congress was an avenue through which state Party Executives were elected as Party executives, who would run the affairs of the party in the state.

During the Thanksgiving service organized by the Rivers State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the state party secretariat in Port Harcourt, The Newly Elected Chairman, Hon Aaron Chukwuemeka stated clearly that the 27 defected Lawmakers are members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Not the All Progressive Congress (APC)

Hon. Aaron Chukwuemeka openly declared while addressing the party faithful and other party leaders during the Thanksgiving service of the just concluded Congress exercise.

We as a party in Rivers State have Automatically restated the 27 defected Lawmakers back into the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and I wish to state clearly that they are not members of the All Progressive Congress (APC)
