Several calls have gone to the Federal Government to grant more dealers approval to operate cement factories across the states of Nigeria to corroborate the recent reduction of high cost of purchase and production.

This is coming again few days BUA group announced the ex-factory price of BUA cement at 3,500 per bag. The call came to our News desk by patriotic Nigerians and building materials dealers in the country.

The group noted with dismay the set back on Ibeto Cement company since previous administration rift the company of their importation approval order.

However, research has revealed that nobody forced Ibeto Cement company to closed down Factory, rather Federal government only stop him from importing cement from abroad.

Recall that Ibeto Cement group later then bought the renowned Nkalagu Cement company in Ebonyi State Nigeria but regrettedly 9News Nigeria gathered that uptill the time of this report, Ibeto has been having issue with the state back and forth. There has not been production for a long time and NIGERIANs are calling on government to help out.

Sources told 9News Nigeria that while the people are busy talking about Dangote and BUA Cement, it is also very apt to talk about Ibeto Cement and others.

The sources also hinted that it was the Government forces that allegedly destroyed Ibeto Cement at a time when Ibeto Cement was ranked as one of the Top Cement in Nigeria.

“Why did the Nigerian Government shut down Ibeto Cement Owned by an Igbo tribe and allowed Dangote Group to dominate and Monopolize the market in Nigeria? The source alleged.

” I’m sure many Nigerians can still remember this very well- How a big Cement Producing Factory in Igbo Land was persecuted and pressured to the extent IBETO was forced to shut down production and operations.”

There is no doubt thousands of jobs were lost and lives were destroyed in the South East region and also in the building industry at the time when Ibeto Cement company was shut down.

The shock is still existing in the minds of the people while calling on Federal Government to grant approval to IBETO cement and empower local production companies in the country.

An eye witnesses and a respected statesman from the South East region hinted that Ibeto’s problem with state stopped when Umahi became the state governor, but that He is still yet to start local production of cement.

An anonymous tweeted that “The Disunity in Igbo Land and lack of leadership also Caused Ibeto’s collapse. He regrettedly stated that , “Yet We have refused to learn from our mistakes, time and time again. When do we learn as a People to always put our interests First and stand United”

The IBETO’s collapse need to be addressed as a matter of balance and importance and some efforts be put to activate the company to commence operation.
