A Nigerian man has came up with his views on Church wedding, he said Church marriage is not Biblical as Jesus never blessed any marriage, nor attended any Church wedding, rather was ONLY a guest who went to witnessed a Jewish (traditional) wedding, Saying, Church wedding is a borrowed culture and Not Biblical.

He advised young men and women not to indulge themselves into debt in order to satisfy societal norms.

He said, “Church wedding NOT Biblical, Jesus never blessed any marriage. Even at Cana in Galilee, He was a guest who went to witness a Jewish wedding”

“Young man and woman will go into debt to do a 2nd traditional marriage (white wedding), which offers them no great value, and sign a treaty based on the values of foreign culture, which is not Biblical. Remember they equally dress in a foreign outfit”

” Even in the Bible, prominent men had several wives, including Solomon and David.

This is inline with our Igbo culture values”.
