Pandamonium broke in Ugba,the headquarters of Logo local government area of Benue state when Hon.Kelvin Atsem Gbande, a young man said to be aspirin for the seat of the Sankera Federal House of representatives alledge that Hon.Clement Kav, the Logo local chairman has threatened to Kill him if he goes ahead with his Ambition of Contesting the 2027 House of Reps seat against his boss, Hon.Solomon Wombo who currently occupies the seat, 9News Nigeria gathered!
Hon.Gbande made this know in the late hours of Sunday via a Facebook post made on his official handle.
The post read:
THREAT TO MY LIFE!! THREAT TO MY LIFE!!
Good evening My fellow Nigerians, I want to bring to the notice of the Good People of Benue State and Sankera in Particular that, I just received a call from the Chairman of Logo Local Government Council Hon. Clement Kav, threatening me never to touch a foot in Logo Local Government again, he said he’s the Chief Security Officer of the Local Government, he controls the Police and the bad boys in the bush, I should have myself to blame if I don’t heed to his warnings, he said, himself and his administration have decided to Support Hon. Solomon Wombo for Reps 2027 and would not have anyone else coming to seek for the election in Logo Local Government.
Mr Kav further said, he would cut off the salary and suspend any Traditional Ruler in Logo Local Government that hold any meeting with me.
I want to put on record that if anything happens to me or any member of my family or political faithful, Mr Kav Clement should be held responsible. Because I am not going to be chickened out by his threats, I stand for the mandate of my People 2027, Sankera House of Representatives 2027 is for the Good People of Ugondo bloc of Sankera and there’s no going back about this fact. I can never be intimidated, Mr Kav Clement you should know me better I can never be intimidated, Ugondo can never be intimidated.
I am a true son of the Soil, My both Parents are Ugondo and no body can stop me from entering my own Home town Ugba.
Reacting;the Honourable Chairman denied the aligation stating clearly that it was baseless, malicious and untrue.
According to the chairman,I have only issued a restraining order on all political and other forms of Social gatherings as a result of herdsmen and bandits killings going on unabated in my local government.
