Local hunters have reportedly killed a hippopotamus at the Bank of the River Benue.
A Facebook user, Sultanate Al-lokoweiy said the incident occurred on Thursday July 06 at Ebete, a border community n Benue with neigbouring Nasarawa state. The hunters according to him were six (6) in numbers killed the semi- aquatic mammal using local tools.
Al- lokowiey added that the local hunters hails from Agatu Local Government Area of Benue state.
