Frim Princely Onyenwe

Notable Northern Nigeria statesman, Alhaji Mahdi Shehu has accused Nigerian Government under President Buhari to as a matter of urgency charge the graft agency to swing into action to arrest and prosecute corrupt Political office holders who in one way or the other engulfed Public funds.

Shehu posted few hours ago on his Twitter handle accusing 100 high profile Nigerians including 14 former Gov’s, 8 ministers,5 senators, special advisers stole N21.63 Trillion & $47.4 Billion( N37 Trillion) = N58.63 Ntrillion from 2017 to Dec 2022.

EFCC: 100 high profile Nigerians including 14 former Gov’s, 8 ministers,5 senators, special advisers stole N21.63 Trillion & $47.4 Billion( N37 Trillion) = N58.63 Ntrillion from 2017 to Dec 2022.

He said that this amount is more than Nig’s 3 yrs budget.May GOD destroy all those involved. Amen.

He has also challenged Nigerians and his followership on twitter to go to EFCC website for ease of reference.

Though Shehu is yet to back his accusation and assertion with certain level of some certitude, an anonymous has posited that the best solution to fighting corruption is simply to let every governor, government officials and civil servant use only one bank account and let this account be monitored every week for 20 years.

“Alhaji Mahdi Shehu insists that 100 high profile Nigerians including 14 former Gov’s, 8 ministers,5 senators, special advisers stole N21.63 Trillion & $47.4 Billion( N37 Trillion) = N58.63 Ntrillion from 2017 to Dec 2022”

Also, their salaries, pension and emoluments should be standardized and monitored.

Meanwhile, the destruction should include those who stole the amount that is more than enough to feed 400 million for 300 years with SPV Special Purpose Vehicle from 1999 to date and all those supporting and defending them publicly and secretly”

“What about 1999 to 2015, no looting ko!

Pls tell that PDP governor that we are yet to see the CCTV camera on the street of FCT, $440m disappear!

“Also I don’t know if the cassava bread factory is behind your house, naija are yet to know , N500b ! Tip of d iceberg” a follower challenged Shehu.

So, because there was looting between 1999 – 2015, we should ignore the statement of Mahdi about the current stealing in APC govt. I thought APC came to clean the mess of corruption with Buhari in charge and also to end terrorism?
If you are more comfortable now, how abt majority of Nigerians”

Having brought EFCC into this allegations by Shehu, NIGERIANs and the public range are in high expectations for clarification from both quarters to reduce unnecessary remarks and tension.

Fortunately or otherwise, this outburst by a well notable statesman and whistle blower from Katsina state came at the peak of electioneering when politicians and ready to go to the polls for Elections.

Mahdi has at the time of this report went futher to tell NIGERIANs that Buhari had remained silent over some important issues.

I’m his tweet, “Buhari has remained silent on the N89 Trillion stamp duty fraud. He looked away on THE JAGABAN ARMY an evolving militia and criminal gang. He pretended away the MULTI TRILLION NAIRA THEFT in the oil sector where he is the Senior minister and he still expect Nigs to vote Tinubu. That is naivety”

This is an exposition at this time when elections are about to kickstart. I feel the parties involved as mentioned in this post, FG and the EFCC as a graft agency have to clear the air and to reassure NIGERIANs of their oat of service.

Alhaji Mahdi Shehu is a Nigerian business mogul, Medical Practitioner and activist. He is responsible for the petition against Katsina State government for allegedly mismanagement of funds something ago.

Alhaji Mahdi Shehu is often times referred to as the Northern whistleblower. Alhaji Mahdi Shehu was born in 1958 In Kastina State.

But if this is just a mere rhetorics, then it will be termed as an empty blowing of oppositionist’s view to distract the APC Government.

The public will like Alhaji Mahdi Shehu to back his allegations with facts otherwise his accusations against PMB will be an oppositionist’s view to discredit Tinubu for Atiku?

More details will come your way expected from both camps Alhaji Mahdi Shehu mentioned in this News.
