The court of Justice of Nasarawa State, sitting in Lafia, has discharged and acquitted four defendants in a criminal case filed by the state government.
In the ruling delivered by Justice J. G. Abundagi in case No. LF 90C/2014, the court upheld a “no case submission” in favour of the 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th accused persons.
The defendants cleared by the are Abubakar Yusuf Doma, Mohammed Usman Koli, Abdullahi Yahuza, and Musa Haruna.
The ruling followed submission filed to establish a prima facie case, which also involved other defendants, was dated May 18, 2017, and formally sealed by the registrar of the High Court of Justice, Nasarawa State.
The decision effectively brings an end to the criminal proceedings against the discharged individuals.
