Diddy: Indictment, allegations, docuseries

Sean Diddy Combs has been in the spotlight for a while now.

The music mogul popularly known as P Diddy has been refused bail after pleading not guilty to three felony counts.

Recall that 9News Nigeria reported that Diddy was arrested in New York on Monday, 16 September 2024.

In the detailed report, it was revealed that the three-time Grammy award winner has been bedeviled with a series of lawsuits by women who have accused him of sexual assault.

The Charges include;

  • Racketeering conspiracy
  • Sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion
  • Transportation to engage in prostitution

The following charges alleges that Diddy used force, threats and coercion to fulfil his sexual escapades, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct – by obstruction of justice.

The indictment also outlines that the music executive created a “criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in, and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labour, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice”.

The prosecution further alleges that victims were given controlled substances to keep them at bay, as Diddy enforced engagement from them.

Recall that around  1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant were seized from Diddy’s homes following a raid from security agents.

However, his lawyer Marc Agnifilo insists that “Diddy is an imperfect person but is not criminal”.

Agnifilo further stated that “We’re going to go get Mr Combs out of jail.”

Meanwhile, American hip-hop legend and movie producer, Curtis Jackson, popularized as 50 Cent has continued to fire shots at Diddy.

Earlier this year, 9News Nigeria reported that 50 Cent had begun the production of a documentary bordering on various sexual assault allegations against Diddy.

In his social media account, he posted an image of a baby oil bottle with the inscriptions- Diddy oil, which captions “Coming soon! LOL”.
