The Commissioner for Capital Territory Development in Ebonyi State, Barrister Onyekachi Nwebonyi has tendered an apology to Ebonyi State House of Assembly Members after he described them as bunch of Illiterates.
9NEWS NIGERIA gathered that Barrister Nwebonyi tendered the apology after he was invited by the Ebonyi State House of Assembly to explain illegal destruction of people’s houses and vehicles in Abakaliki, the state capital.
Following the invitation, Barrister Nwebonyi decided to apologise to the members of the House of Assembly only.
9News Nigeria had reported that the vehicles were destroyed by the Commissioner’s led “thugs and touts” in charge of illegal parking.
Speaking with 9NEWS NIGERIA correspondent, one of the drivers whose vehicle was destroyed cursed the Commissioner for destroying his vehicle which he uses for transportation service to feed his family.
“I can’t go to work again because my vehicle has been destroyed by the thugs of Onyekachi Nwebonyi, Commissioner for Capital Territory”.
“I place curse on him today. He will die a painful death for destroying our vehicles. Go to the other area, you will see how he destroyed people’s goods”.
