Six Super Eagles players have doled out 24 million Naira to the Super Falcons as a reward for the team’s triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The players are Captain William Troost-Ekong, Alexander Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, Olaoluwa Aina, Leon Balogun, and Joseph Ayodele Aribo.
In an impressive and highly tense encounter, the Super Falcons rallies from two goals down to beat hosts Atlas Lioness of Morocco in the final of the competition on Saturday night.
It was the 10th time Justin Madugu’s side will be winning the title.
The players and their officials returned the country on Monday.
They were also generously rewarded by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governors’ Forum.
