El-Kanemi Warriors FC has unveiled Coach King Emmanuel as its new Technical Adviser ahead of the 2026/2027 Nigeria National League season and the CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
The unveiling took place on Friday, 24th July 2026, at the Colonel Abdulmumin Aminu Camp in Maiduguri.
It was conducted by the club Chairman, Alhaji Waziri Isa Mai Qatar, in the presence of the management board, technical crew and other staff.
Coach King Emmanuel previously served as head coach of Akwa United.
He also coached Dakkada International FC and had a playing career in Nigeria and abroad.
He holds a B.Sc. in Physical and Health Education, an M.Sc. in Public Order and Information Management, a Higher Diploma in Football Training, and CAF A and CAF B coaching licences.
Speaking at the event, Chairman Alhaji Waziri Isa Mai Qatar welcomed the new Technical Adviser and pledged the club’s full support to help achieve its targets.
Vice Chairman Baba Maliki also assured Coach Emmanuel of the club’s backing throughout his tenure.
In his response, Coach Emmanuel thanked the Borno State Government under Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum and the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Comrade Saina Buba, for the opportunity.
He assured supporters that the team will work to return El-Kanemi Warriors to the Nigeria Premier Football League next season.
He added that the club will also compete strongly in the CAF Confederation Cup.Dignitaries present included the Team Manager IBB, Chief Coach Bakaka Kalli, Welfare Officer Usman Zumami, and other members of the backroom staff.
