Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (retd.), has accused former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, of creating division in the state during his administration.
Musa made the allegation on Thursday during an interview on Channels Television.
According to him, El-Rufai’s administration deepened divisions in Kaduna, particularly along religious and regional lines.
Musa also accused the former governor of deliberately planning the killing of people in Southern Kaduna.
“We know how things were when El-Rufai was there. It was toxic. El-Rufai did a lot of terrible things in Kaduna State; he divided the state in two.
“Governor Uba Sani has been able to dissolve all that. We can never be happy with somebody who has deliberately planned for the killing of our people,” Musa said.
The Defence Minister praised Governor Uba Sani for what he described as efforts to reverse the divisions and tensions he attributed to the previous administration.
