Amid mounting criticism of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, his son, Seyi Tinubu, has declared him the greatest president in Nigeria’s history.
Sparking fresh debate on the country’s political and economic landscape, Seyi Tinubu made the remarks while addressing a youth gathering in Adamawa State, stating, “It was never about politics, but they keep coming for me, they keep coming for my family, they keep coming for your father, they keep coming for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the greatest president in the history of Nigeria.”
Seyi’s statement comes at a time when public dissatisfaction appears to be growing across the nation.
“The only president that created an economy that has benefitted everybody, the only president that is not trying to enrich his own pocket,” he stated.
His comments emphasized that the president had prioritised empowerment and development over self interests.
Just last week, former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, openly berated the administration, raising concerns over governance and policy direction.
Additionally, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, popularly known as Raye, publicly criticized the government, highlighting the soaring cost of living and economic hardship faced by Nigerians.
The stark contrast between these criticisms and Seyi Tinubu’s declaration simply defines the divide in public opinion over the administration’s performance.
While supporters emphasize Tinubu’s leadership and ongoing reforms, critics continue to point out economic struggles and governance challenges as pressing issues that need urgent attention.
While the reality remains rowdy, debates intensify.
The Tinubu administration still faces increasing pressure to address concerns over inflation, living costs, and policy effectiveness, even as loyalists continue to defend its legacy.
