U.S President Donald Trump has unveiled a new immigration initiative, the “Trump Gold Card”.
It is a $5 million visa program designed to attract wealthy foreign investors by granting them lawful residency in the United States and a pathway to citizenship.
The Gold Card, which prominently features Trump’s image, is being introduced as an elite alternative to the existing EB-5 visa program.
According to officials, the initiative is aimed at generating significant revenue for the U.S. government while also drawing in high-net-worth individuals from around the world.
Speaking on the program recently, President Trump confirmed that he is the first official purchaser of the card.
“This is about bringing the best, the richest into America. People who want to invest, build, and contribute to our country,” Trump said during the launch.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick disclosed that over 1,000 Gold Cards have already been sold globally.
While specific qualifications and processing timelines for the visa remain unclear, the card promises lawful permanent residency and a direct path to U.S. citizenship for successful applicants.
Certain analysts warn that the influx of ultra-wealthy immigrants could drive up property prices in key cities.
Nevertheless, Trump administration officials argue that the program will spur investment and create jobs.
Further details about the Trump Gold Card are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
