Obaseki imports militants from Delta, Rivers Declare War On Opposition.
The Edo Governorship election is taking a dangerous twist if information available to us is anything to go by.
The last two weeks have seen the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki battling for his political survival desperately.
Jumping from one court to the other the Governor tried, by all means, to halt the APC from conducting a direct primary in the State.
While Obaseki was hoping on the courts to restrain the party he was also desperately working out ways to inflate the Covid-19 cases in the State to justify his claims of not holding a direct primary due to the pandemic outbreak.
The last option available to Obaseki which was yet to be deployed and fearfully now activated is the causing of mayhem in the city metropolis to foster apprehension among the populace and distortion of peace in order to cancel the direct primaries of the APC which unfortunately he’s not an aspirant as the party has since disqualified the Governor.
Reports monitored confirms militants and thugs were imported from the neighbouring Delta State and Rivers.
The thugs were lodged in a popular Hotel off boundary, GRA Benin City.
Yesterday the thugs were spotted at the government house Benin City in preparation of sorting out their transportation logistics.
According to our source who confirmed the meeting at Government House Benin City the plan is a real and multi-facet.
An outline of their operations shows that Benin would be bloody for the PDP and APC primaries.
For the forthcoming PDP’s primaries, Obaseki is set to deploy the militants to intimidate PDP party members so he can muscle his way in as the flagbearer of the party.
The thugs would also be used to disrupt the direct primaries of the APC so he can hope to get litigation against the APC that it never held a successful primary so therefore has no acceptable candidate.
Our source says Obaseki has declared war on the opposition against his second term be it PDP or APC it is WAR.
The PDP primary is slated for this weekend while the APC for next week.
