The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike, failed to honor the invitation from the Rivers State Judiciary Commission of Inquiry.
The Rivers Panel of Inquiry was established by Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara to investigate the destruction of several local government secretariats in the state.
The panel sent an invitation to the Honorable Minister, but he did not respond.
The commission concluded its proceedings today, with the chairman, Justice I.R. Minakiri, presiding.
In her closing remarks, Justice Minakiri mentioned that today’s session was specifically reserved for the FCT Minister, Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike. However, he declined the invitation and did not send a representative.
Justice Minakiri also expressed her disappointment that other invitees similarly failed to attend the commission’s sessions.
