The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) FCT chapter under the leadership of Bunmi Haruna has commended the NUJ FCT Council for the support rendered to SWAN new executives since its assumption of office.
SWAN called on the FCT Adminstration (FCTA) to show more interest in the development of sports in the territory, give employment to sports officers and coaches and work with the six Area Councils in the development of sporting facilities.
It congratulated FOSLA Academy for emerging champions of the 2021 National Principal Cup football event while it also commended the FCT Football Association chairman, Mouktar Abba Mohammed, for accepting to sponsor SWAN Award and for his unflinching contributions to the development of football in FCT.
The body of sports writers thanked the Director, General Services, NYSC and former Super Eagles team coordinator, Emmanuel Attah, for supporting FCT SWAN by donating trophies, balls and others for the SWAN week football competition.
The FCT SWAN however pledged to work with sports administrators in FCT with a view to developing sports in the territory.
