The Senate of Federal University Dutse (FUD), Jigawa State has approved strict disciplinary measures against students found guilty of exam malpractices during the 2024/2025 academic session.
20 students have been expelled, meaning they are permanently dismissed and barred from returning to the University.
15 students were rusticated, facing temporary suspension but eligible to resume studies after the period ends.
2 students were cleared of wrongdoing, while 3 others received written warnings.
The sanctions followed the recommendations of the university’s Senate Committee on Examination Misconduct, highlighting FUD’s commitment to maintaining academic integrity and deterring cheating.
