Few months after his assessment visit, Uzodinma fulfills his promise to revitalize IMSUTH Orlu

UZODINMA: THE COST OF WASTEFUL FUGITIVISM

BY PRINCELY ONYENWE,IMO –

Before Gov. Hope Uzodimma became the Governor of Imo State, only very few Imolites trusted our health system.

If not due to high cost of securing good standard health care treatment, then, maybe due to lack of facilities in our health system.

However on November 4th 2020, Gov. Hope Uzodinma undertook an assessment tour of Imo State University Teaching hospital (IMSUTH), Orlu, to assess the high level of rot and ruin that has eroded everything in the only teaching hospital in Imo state and the only state owned tertiary health care centre.

On that visit the Governor made a promise to revitalize the hospital, reconstruct the dilapidated hospital road and graduate medical students, who, hitherto, had spent more than 10years.

Meanwhile, 6months later, the Governor made good his promise, by reconstructing the hospital road.

IMSUTH has since graduated close to 100 new Medical Doctors and before the end of October, a new set of Medical Doctors are to be graduated.

The new lease of life is not just in the teaching hospital, Gov. Hope Uzodimma has secured functional ambulances/mobile clinics across the 27 Local Government Area and is currently equipping the primary and secondary health facilities in IMO State.
When hope speaks, he matches his word with action.

This is truly a part of shared prosperity Government in the Health Sector example and we are believing the governor to come to the rescue of one of the foremost health facility in Imo state, Nekede health Center located in Umuoma Nekede Owerri West for the safety of our nursing mothers.
