The Federal Government, on Thursday August 28, 2025 gifted the winner of the TeenEagle global finals competition, Nafisah Abdullahi N200,000.
Nafisah Abdullahi Aminu, a 17-year-old Nigerian student from Yobe State, won the TeenEagle Global finals in London, UK, by emerging as overall Best in English Language proficiency.

She outperformed over 20,000 participants from 69 countries. In his remarks, Dr. Alausa praised Nafisah for making the country proud, describing her feat as a testament to the talent and resilience of Nigeria students, stressing that such global recognition highlights the need for greater investment in Education and opportunities for young people to thrive.
The award was presented by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, in Abuja.
Nafisah who expressed gratitude to her parents, teachers, and the Nigerian government for their support, pledged to use her platform to inspire others, encouraging Nigerian youths to embrace hard work and preservance to compete globally.
She unveiled her new project English Language for Peace and Development, aimed at promoting literacy, dialogue and social cohesion among young people.
