FG honors family of Nigerian flag designer with N30 million

The Federal Government has donated N30 million to the family of the National flag designer, the late Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, almost two years after his demise.

The Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lanre Issa-Oniru, accompanied by Oyo State Director of the agency, Olukemi Afolayan, made the official presentation of the cheque on Thursday on behalf of the Federal Government at the late hero’s Ibadan residence.

The late Akinkunmi died on August 29, 2023, at the age of 87.

Recall, President Bola Tinubu on September 4, 2023 sent a government delegation, led by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on a condolence visit, pledged to give the late Nigerian hero a national burial and financial support to the family.
