World’s football governing body-FIFA has announced the neutral grounds where several 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match will staged in October.
The decision affect teams whose home stadiums do not currently meet international standard.
The fixtures and their approved venues are as follows:
-Ethiopia vs Guinea -Bissau -Rwanda
-Sierra Leone vs Burkina Faso -Liberia
-Comoros vs Madagascar -Ivory Coast
-Niger vs Congo -Burkina Faso
-Somalia vs Mozambique – Algeria
-Lesotho vs Nigeria -South Africa
-Zimbabwe vs South Africa ,- South Africa
-Seychelles vs Ivory Coast – Mauritius
-Gambia vs Gabon -Kenya
-Sao Tome vs Tunisia and Malawi -Tunisia..
The upcoming qualifiers will play a decisive role in shaping Africa’s road to global football festival – 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
