Months after their controversial video rocked social media, Ichie Obiora Ezeonyekwere and Chinasa Vivian Odika – the pair at the center of the scandal -are reportedly set to tie the knot.
A wedding invitation card bearing their names, wedding date, and venue has surfaced online, sparking fresh debates across Anambra State and beyond.
The development comes just months after both individuals faced heavy public scrutiny when their private affairs was exposed.
Back in May 2025, Chinasa granted an emotional interview where she admitted being in romantic relationship with Ichie Obiora, a married man and traditional title holder. Chinasa, married with children, explained that she fell in love with him because of how well he treated her, even rushing her to the hospital after she was allegedly knocked unconscious by estranged husband.
Chinasa also alleged that her own daughter was responsible for leaking the explicit video that trended nationwide.
According to her she had deleted the clip, but her daughter recovered it, confronted her, and eventually shared it with her father, who then circulated it further out of anger.
The scandal stirred mixed reactions in their community, with rumours that Ichie Obiora has been stripped of his traditional title.
However, Chinasa clarified that while a fine might be imposed, his title was for life and had not been revoked.
She also denied allegations that Ichie Obiora was involved with both her daughter, stressing that such claims were fabricated out of bitterness over her failed marriage.
Following the controversy, her marriage eventually ended in divorce, paving the way for her relationship with Ichie Obiora to progress publicly.
Now, their upcoming wedding is fixed for Saturday September 6, 2025, the couple seems determined to move past the scandal and e a new chapter together despite the storms.
