The Borno State Police Command has so far re-arrested two escaped convicts following a jail break that caused by the recent devastating flood disaster in Maiduguri.
Abubakar Mohammed and Kyari Kur (aka Henry), 27 and 28 year old escaped from jail amidst the recent flood disaster.
ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso stated that they were convicted, serving a jail term for calpable homicide, criminal conspiracy and theft at the Medium Security Custodian Center before escaping.
They were sighted in Gubio town following different operations and apprehend them.
The command vows to continue searching for any additional escaped convicts.
‘The Borno State Police Command remains committed to ensuring public safety and justice.
‘We appreciate the public’s cooperation and urge them to continue providing timely information, ASP Daso said.
