A retired flight attendant and author has reignited debate over the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States after revisiting a series of claims questioning the established account of what happened that day.
Rebekah Roth, who spent nearly three decades working in the airline industry, was featured in a recently republished interview in which she discussed her research into the four aircraft involved in the attacks and raised questions about flight procedures, radar data, telephone calls and other aspects of the incident.
The interview, originally conducted by George Noory on Coast to Coast AM, has been republished by The Michelle Moore Show and circulated again in September 2026.
Roth has for years argued that some elements of the official account of 9/11 do not adequately explain what happened. Her views formed the basis of her book, Methodical Illusion, which examines the attacks through the perspective of a fictional former flight attendant and incorporates Roth’s research and knowledge of aviation procedures.
Among the issues she raises are questions about the reported movements and speeds of the aircraft, communications from passengers, the response of US authorities and what she considers inconsistencies surrounding the Pentagon attack.
Roth has also alleged that the attacks involved a wider operation beyond the 19 men identified by US authorities as the hijackers. Those allegations, however, remain part of the broader 9/11 conspiracy-theory debate and have not been established as fact.
Her claims have attracted attention largely because of her former experience as a flight attendant. According to her published biography, Roth worked for almost 30 years in the airline industry as a flight attendant and international purser before turning her attention to researching 9/11.
The renewed discussion comes as interest in alternative accounts of the September 11 attacks continues more than two decades after the attacks killed nearly 3,000 people and fundamentally changed US domestic and foreign policy.
The latest video does not present newly uncovered official evidence establishing a different account of the attacks. Instead, it revisits Roth’s longstanding allegations and questions about events surrounding 9/11.
Roth has previously said her research was based on government documents, media reports, books and her own knowledge of aviation procedures. Her book, however, is classified by Google Books as historical fiction, an important distinction when assessing the claims presented in the work.
The renewed circulation of the interview has once again brought questions about the attacks into public discussion, while the established historical account remains based on extensive investigations and official records.
