Munir Hassan Nababa, the former President of the Student Union Government (SUG) at the University of Maiduguri, has been actively lobbying for a conceded pass for graduates who have one carry-over or spillover course. Recognizing the difficulties that some students encounter in completing their degree requirements within the traditional timeframe, Nababa is dedicated to establishing a more flexible and empathetic environment for these individuals.
In a press letter addressed to 9News Nigeria, signed by the former SUG President Munir Hassan Nababa, it was highlighted that the president diligently campaigned for this waiver, underscoring the importance of compassion and understanding for students who face challenges in meeting their academic obligations within the prescribed period.
Given the hardships experienced across the nation, the plea for a conceded pass was deemed necessary and was undertaken by the former president in collaboration with the diligent, exceptional, and student-centric Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aliyu Shugaba, and other key university officials.
Affected students are encouraged to remain calm and maintain a hopeful outlook as the president continues to exert every possible effort to ensure the acceptance and implementation of the plea.
