FUEL HIKE IN IMO: GOVERNMENT WILL DO ANYTHING WITHIN THE LAW TO ADDRESS THE WICKEDNESS OF THE PETROLEUM MARKETERS IN THE STATE.

Imo state government led by Governor Hope Uzodinma has ordered independent marketers of fuel to resume sales at normal prices across the state.

This came as a directive from governor Uzodinma after listening to the stress Imo people are passing through because of fuel scarcity in the state.

9News Nigeria Imo state correspondent reports that some filling stations visited at the time of this report are selling at 165 Naira while those that locked their fuel stations have decided not to sell unless allowed to sell at a drastic price of 200-300 naira.

Meanwhile, the independent marketers have called off their strike sometime last week, but still, make fuel scarce in Imo state

It is an act of wickedness of the petroleum marketers to have claimed to seek justice but sell fuel at 250/litre at the filling stations.

In his words, an official of Government hinted that “We know that the purposeful fuel scarcity was targeted at the presidential visit but they failed woefully”

“We are over with the visit, can you people now get back to work and stop this wickedness?

It was reportedly gathered that the opposition in Imo state are doing everything they can to undermine the state government.

9News Nigeria reports that the chairman of the petroleum marketers in Imo state is a card-carrying member of the PDP in Imo state and as such is doing everything possible to achieve the aim of the party which is bringing hardship to Imolites.

The state government however Insists that they will do anything within the law to address the wickedness of the petroleum marketers in Imo state.

Imolites are asked to go ahead with their Official businesses while the government are charged with enormous responsibilities to better the state.

Imo Government will make sure fuel is sold at a normal price to cushion the cost of living in the state.
