EBONYI GOVERNOR UMAHI ORDERS HIS COMMISSIONERS TO MONITOR WORKERS ATTENDANCE AGAINST THE SIT-AT-HOME ORDER BY IPOB

His Excellency, the Governor of Ebonyi State, David Nweze Umahi, has ordered all commissioners and other government officials to take note and monitor strictly the attendance of workers and deal drastically on absentees.

This is in the guideline to the order against the IPOB sit-at-home mandate on the South-East states.

UMAHI, therefore, has directed that all Civil and Public Servants must report to work across the State on Monday and whosoever fails to report to his or her duty post, stands to lose his/her job.

All the Commissioners and other government officials are to take note and monitor strictly the attendance of workers.

  1. Similarly, any shop or bank that fails to open for business activities on Monday 13th September 2021, in Ebonyi State, stands the risk of losing the right to operate business or banking operation in the State.
  2. The general public is by this announcement advised to go about their normal businesses without fear.
  3. Security agencies, Ebubeagu Security, Ebonyi State Command and Akubaraoha Youths are equally directed to patrol 24 hours in all corners of the State to ensure protection of life and property of Ebonyians as they go about their normal businesses.
  4. His Excellency, David Nweze Umahi, will personally be on the road, markets and other public places including Ministries and Departments to monitor the level of compliance.

All concerned are to take note and adhere strictly to this important government directive.
