Following viral news of the killing of a black American, George Floyd in Minneapolis, USA, Femi Fani Kayode has expressed his sad emotions about the killings of black people all over the world.
“The murder of George Floyd by white American police officers is sickening and barbaric. Enough is enough! Black lives matter! #BlackLivesMatters #GeorgeFloydprotest #GeorgeFloydMurder”
The former Culture and Tourism Minister, Femi Fani Kayode (FFK) also lamented that what happened to George often happens to innocent Nigerians who are being killed by state-sponsored ethnic militias and Boko Haram.
FFK revealed that these killing happens everywhere and is even more brutal and callous in Nigeria.
He accused Nigerian security agency of killing more Nigerians than Boko Haram.
The highly revered advocate who was also the former Aviation Minister took to his official twitter account @realFFK to express his sad emotions of the killings of innocent citizens not only in America but worst still in Nigeria.
‘What happened to George Floyd in Minneapolis happens to innocent Nigerians every day. The Nigerian version is even more callous & brutal. Here the killers don’t just choke people to death: they carve them to pieces, take out their hearts & body organs & either sell or eat them.
The Nigerian security agencies and state-sponsored ethnic militias kill more Nigerians than Boko Haram.’
Remember that George Floyd was killed by a police officer who knelt on his neck while he shouted that he couldn’t breathe.
He was taken to the hospital but died a few hours later on Sunday. Protesters have camped out over the murder and the four police officers involved have been fired.
