Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, former Governor Ibrahim Geidam, and the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have officially endorsed former Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali, for the governorship election in Yobe State.

The endorsement was announced in Damaturu on Wednesday, marking a major alignment of key political figures in the state’s APC behind Wali.

Wali previously served as Secretary to the State Government during the Buni administration, a role that placed him at the center of policy coordination and government operations in the state.

The joint backing from Governor Buni, Senator Geidam, and the APC state chairman signals consolidated support for Wali as the party prepares for the governorship race.

Wali has yet to formally declare or outline his agenda following the endorsement.
