Governor Ayo Fayose visited Ipao Ekiti town today following the killing of one man in by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Sunday. The governor, who arrived Ekiti State yesterday evening mobilised Soldiers, Policemen, Civil Defence and local hunters to the town to prevent further loss of lives.
He warned against people taking laws into their hands and directed that a committee should be set up to look into the immediate and remote causes of incessant attacks in Ipao Ekiti and surrounding towns.
“Anyone who kills will be fished out and punished in accordance with our laws and no one should kill cows here too,” Governor Fayose said.
