In a strategic move to enhance inclusiveness and ensure broader community representation, Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has approved the appointment of additional Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and a Coordinator, among others.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, are strategically aimed at increasing productivity and fostering stronger community relations to strengthen peace and unity across the state.
According to a statement issued by Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor, the newly appointed officials, include: Engr. Jurbe Godeb as Technical Adviser on Water Management, Hon. Nuhu Yakubu Chayi as Special Adviser on Sustainable Technology and Carbon Credits, and Hon. OJ Afwangs as Special Adviser on Budgeting.
In Domestic Affairs, Mrs Fidelia Tohomdet has been named as Senior Special Assistant, signalling a strengthen focus on domestic governance.
In an efforts to deepen community relations, several Senior Special Assistants have been appointed to represent various ethnic and regional groups within Plateau State.
These include: Felix Akpunkwu for Igbo community, Hon. Dotun Fehintola for Yoruba community, and Alhaji Yaro Mairake for Hausa commuinity.
Others are, Suleiman Musa Abubakar for Fulani community, Hajia Jamila Pam for Indigenous Muslims, Chief Seigha Ebide for South-South Nationalities, and Hon. Daniel Kwada for Middle Belt Nationalities.
Mrs Helen Haggai has been appointed as the Coordinator for Non- Governmental Organisations, a role expected to enhance collaboration between government and the civil groups.
Additionally, Mrs Rauta Danko has been named Chairperson of the Plateau State Pension Board, emphasizing the government’s commitment to the welfare of the retirees.
These appointments which takes immediate effect, are seen as part of Governor Mutfwang’s broader strategy to strengthen peace, unity and sustainable development across Plateau State.
