The Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Affairs, Hon. Olamide Lawal , paid a visit to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp in Ogun State yesterday, demonstrating the state government’s commitment to youth empowerment and development.
The visit which coincided with the NYSC carnival and brings together corps members from diverse parts of the country to promote unity, cultural exchange, and talents exhibition
He emphasized the state government’s support for initiatives that foster youth growth, skills development, and community service.
During his visit, the Special Adviser interacted with corps members, participating in various activities, including cultural performances, sports, and talent displays.
According to Hon. Olamide Lawal, “Feel at home as the State was adjudged as the Most Secured State in Nigeria by the Federal Government”. He said.
“I charge you all to put a remarkable memory in the minds of the people of whichever community you are posted to for your primary assignment by making a lasting impact and positive contribution to the communities you are serving during their service year”.
The Special Adviser presented cash prizes to outstanding corps members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment.
This visit highlights the Ogun State Government’s continued focus on youth development and its recognition of the NYSC program as a vital platform for shaping the country’s future leaders.
The Governor’s aide also expressed his admiration to the State Coordinator, Mrs Olayinka Nasamu and other officials for their enthusiasm, activeness and dedications to the NYSC scheme as a contribution to nation building.
