His Excellency, the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has expressed sadness over the death of another Military Governor of Imo State, Col. Tanko Zubairu, who died recently after a brief illness.
Col. Tanko Zubairu, who was the last Military Governor of Imo State that handed over to a Democratically elected Government in the 4th Republic, has been described by Governor Hope Uzodimma as a patriot at heart and strategist in action.
His Excellency eulogized the Late Colonel for his courageous approach in handling the crises of stiff opposition and riots that confronted his regime. Despite these, the Colonel was able to actualize developmental strides in the area of infrastructural construction and prominently the Family Support Program (FSP) of his regime.
Governor Hope Uzodimma commiserated with the family, the Government and good people of Kaduna State over the loss while praying for God to grant the soul of the Late Colonel eternal rest.
