As flooding continues to affect communities in Borno State’s local government areas, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum has provided support to victims in Kala Balge Local Government.
The situation remains dire, with many families displaced and in need of assistance.
Ajid Musa Aji, chairman of the local government, visited Kala Balge Town on Saturday with relief items and cash for the victims of the recent flood.
He said the visit was a significant step towards alleviating the suffering of the affected communities.
The chairman was received by a crowd of elderly, youths, women, and children who expressed their appreciation for his support during their hardship.
‘I am overwhelmed by the mammoth crowd’s here in Kala Balge, the people reaction was a testament to the impact of the Governor’s support.
‘We are here with my team on the directive of Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, the Borno State Governor, to provide emergency relief and give hope to each flood victim.
The Governor is with you and he is committed to support you to overcome this challenges,’ Ajid said.
‘He has directed me to give each victim N20,000 cash for emergency response,’ Ajid continued.
‘He has also promised to rebuild their houses destroyed by the flood,’ Ajid added.
This promise offers hope for the victims to rebuild their lives.
Ajid further stated, ‘Under our leadership, we will support them with prayers, spiritually, and financially, to ensure they are resettled.
