Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, the Senior Technical Assistant on Print and Digital Communications to Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, has won an award at the 2026 National Spokesperson Awards.
Mr. Bundi won in the “Digital Communication” category.
He got the news in a letter dated 13th July while working on Governor Zulum’s publication, “The 7th Verdict”.
According to the organisers, the award was competitive this year.
They said they received 171 nominations, among which 91 were qualified and 42 people made it to the final stage across 16 categories.
It also noted that a 7-member jury led by Prof. Saudat Salah Abdulbaqi chose the winners based on impact, innovation, reach, and quality of evidence.
UNILORIN TV came second in the Digital Communication category.
The National Spokesperson Awards are organised by Image Merchants Promotion Limited, the company behind PRNigeria.
The awards celebrate good work in public communication in Nigeria.
Mr. Bundi was appointed as STA in January 2025.

Before that, he worked as Special Assistant and Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the governor.
He was also part of the Governor’s Media Team that won an award in 2023.
