Group Wants Governor Wike For President.
In view of the numerous achievements and stability in Rivers State since 2015, the Indigenous Indigenes of Rivers State have called on Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike to get ready to run for president come 2023.
The National Coordinator of the group, Barrister Professor John Ibinwangi Ogolo who spoke to Newsmen in PortHarcourt said Governor Wike has the political will to stabilize the economy of the nation.
Professor Ogolo noted that the indigenous indigenes met and took the decision to commence sensitization to urge the project Governor to prepare for Presidency in 2023, saying that he is the one known to Savage the nation at this period of hardship.
He explained that Governor Wike has proven to the entire nation to be the chosen one with his quality leadership style following his numerous achievements recorded both as Minister of State for Education then and Governor of Rivers State currently.
According to him, Wike has turned Rivers State to a project site when other states are struggling to meet up to pay salaries of workers.
“He has built 9 flyover bridges, the construction of Mother and Child hospital, Real Madrid Academy, Construction of roads including Trans- Kalabari road and the one leading to my town Opobo”, he said.
He said that, In the area of entertainment, the Governor built the Pleasure Park, Sand fillings of Buguma, Abalama and construction of roads across the 23 local government areas of the state and the completion of Judges quarters.
Ogolo, a lecturer at the Federal University Of Technology Owerri ,FUTO; and University of Port Harcourt said the antecedents of Governor Wike has shown that he has what it takes to drive the country to a place of economic/political stability and growth.
