The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Alhaji Zikrullah Olakunle Hassan, has assured that the commission is committed to deliver acceptable hajj for pilgrims in Nigeria in line with international best practices.
The NAHCON boss who was represented by NAHCON South-west Commissioner, Alhaja Basirat Olayinka Akintunde, at a sensitisation programme on Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS) held recently at the Oyo state Pilgrims Welfare Board, in Ibadan, stated that the present Hajj Commission like the past boards is committed to fulfilling its mandate through initiatives and reforms that will promote acceptable hajj for Nigerian pilgrims.
While stressing that the launch of Hajj Savings Scheme was part of the initiatives by the present board at making holy pilgrimage easier for intending pilgrims, the NAHCON chairman said the HSS is an alternate financial empowerment for every Nigerian irrespective economic categories or status seeking to make the life long journey which is the last pillars of the Islamic faith.
