As stern efforts are being made by the Federal Government bring to justice those who had turned the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to their ATM machine for years, some guilty elements have started another miscalculated campaign of threats to the forensic auditors appointed to undertake the forensic auditing of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

This uncanny move by detractors of truth reveals yet another progression of desperation from those who do not want the progress of the Niger Delta region.

In their first attempt, they engineered and initiated an unnecessary probe in order to create a smokescreen of confusion just to avert justice.

Today, the vehicle conveying the forensic auditors was attacked in Port Harcourt the capital of Rivers State by sponsored thugs who threatened to deal with them if they continued the auditing.

They also alleged to know where the auditors were lodging and would launch an attack if they continued with the exercise.

This act is greatly condemned by many Nigerians especially those from the Niger Delta Region who want all those involved in the misappropriation of NDDC funds in the past, brought to book.

For those who have allowed themselves to be used as tools of destruction, is it not shameful that the NDDC, with much allocation, has experienced little or no concrete development for years?

Is it not tear-jerking that the NDCC ranks very high for abandoned projects despite the billions of naira pumped into the commission for years?

For how long should we keep quiet for them to continue using the NDCC as their CASH COW while the good people of Niger Delta continue to suffer underdevelopment?

9news Nigeria asked all these questions to appeal to the conscience of Niger Delta people to reawaken their sense of Patriotism.

It’s surprising that this audacious step by Mr. President to bring sanity to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is saluted with such opened criminal acts.

Let it be on record that no matter their evil ploy to stop the truth, this forensic audit is bound to expose all of them.

We salute the courage of our able Hon. Minister of Niger Delta Affairs (Senator Godswill Akpabio) to ensure that the corruption that bedeviled this commission for years is put to an end.
