President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says the soaring prices of food items have been brought under control leading to a decline in hunger.
Tinubu stated this on Sunday when the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike, led a delegation to the Presidential Villa in Abuja, on a Sallah homage.
The President noted that immediately the FCT was removed from the Treasury Single Account (TSA) things started changing rapidly.
“I started looking at the opening up of rural areas, the residence of the Vice President that had been abandoned for years came alive.The health centres were being rehabilitated. The health facilities of the FCT are being upgraded. Our teachers at school are bring rehabilitated, buildings are furnished. Thank you Wike.
“Today, we are living in peace and security is improving. There is satisfaction in our output. Hunger is coming down. Food prices are lowering. We are able to go to the market and fo business” he said.
