Ramon Olarunwa Abbas commonly known as Hushpuppi, is set to be released from prison in 2029 after serving an 11-year sentenced for conspiracy to launder money obtained from various scams.
The famous Nigerian Instagram influencer lavish lifestyle, often showcased on social media, was funded by his involvement in business email compromise frauds, which included schemes that defrauded a US law firm of $40 million and legally transferred $14.7 million from a foreign financial institution.
He also targeted to steal $124 million from an English Premier League club.
His arrest in 2020 and subsequent extradition to the US marked the end of his luxurious lifestyle, and he is currently serving his sentence at FCI Fort DIX in New Jersey.
