A Hyena has escaped from the Jos Wildlife Park in Plateau State.
The Management of the Plateau State Tourism Corporation confirmed in a statement obtained by 9News Nigeria correspondent in Jos on Monday.
The statement signed by the General Manager, Plateau State Tourism Corporation, Mr Chuwang George Pwajok reads that, “We would like to inform the general public that the hyena which recently escaped from its cage in Jos Wild life Park is currently being tracked by our dedicated team of Game Guards and Park Rangers with assistance from drone technology.
The statement further reads, “We assure the public that we are taking all necessary measures to locate the escaped animals and ensure its safe return to its enclosure soonest”
“We kindly request the public to remain calm and avoid any approach to the hyena if sighted,” the statement further reads.
