Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode, popularly known as “Toyo Baby” from the TV series Jenifa’s Diary, has raised concerns about the widespread presence of witchcraft, sharing her own unsettling experience of almost being unknowingly initiated.

In a video posted on her Instagram page, accompanied by a detailed caption, the actress—who is also a devout Christian advocate—recounted how she narrowly escaped what she believes was a spiritual trap disguised as an innocent internet link.

Olayode explained that she was scrolling through her phone when she came across an online ad that asked, “Have you ever broken a bone before?” Driven by curiosity, she clicked the link, but was immediately overwhelmed by a disturbing feeling that made her quickly exit the site.

Reflecting on the experience, she questioned why she had clicked on it at all and took it as a spiritual warning.

According to her, witchcraft is no longer hidden or operating in secrecy.

Instead, it is embedded in everyday life—through music, movies, books, and even seemingly harmless online content. “Witchcraft is everywhere these days, they’re not hiding anymore,” she wrote.

“They operate every hour of the day… it looks attractive, it looks like you’re on the right path, but be careful.”

She cautioned the public to be mindful of what they expose themselves to, especially spiritual gatherings, churches, and content labeled as entertainment or art.

She stressed that spiritual manipulation could occur unknowingly, citing that some people may have already been initiated into witchcraft through things they watched, read, or attended—without their conscious knowledge.

“Just because someone tells you something personal about your life doesn’t mean it’s coming from the right spirit,” she added, referencing Acts 16:16–18 from the Bible.

Olayode urged her followers to guard their hearts and minds, emphasizing the importance of spiritual discernment.

She also listed warning signs she believes may indicate spiritual interference, such as nightmares, depression, anxiety, strange voices or movements, and fear.

Olayode dismissed practices like burning incense to cleanse energy as deceptive traps, insisting that such acts may actually open spiritual doors to harmful forces.

Her message concluded with a strong appeal for vigilance: “You gotta guard your gates, the gates to your soul.

“You gotta be very careful, very prayerful and highly discerning.
