A Nigerian Teacher, Abiola Ajibolaoye, has opened up about his deepest regret in life – getting married at age of 40.
In his candid video shared on TikTok, Abiola reflected on the relationship he has faced due to his late marriage, stating that some mistakes are easier to correct when made earlier in life.
According to him, delaying in marriage has come with irreversible consequences, making him wish he had settled down at a younger age.
He revealed that he and his wife have have struggled with childbearing, a situation he attributes to certain missteps in relationships.
“If I could go back in time, I would have married early because I married late, that is one wrong decision I took in life”, he admitted.
Abiola notes that while he is satisfied with his professional achievements, he believes that timing plays a crucial role in personal decisions.
He emphasized that making mistakes at a younger age allows for easier corrections, but once a person reaches a certain stage in life, some issues become difficult to reverse.
“You can marry and make mistakes. When you make your mistakes early, you can correct them in time and move on with life. But you can’t beat time because it is not our friend. There are things I’m doing now that I should have done years ago”, he added.
It’s revelation has sparked conversations online, with many viewers sharing their thoughts on the advantages and disadvantages of marrying early and late. While some agreed with his perspective, others argued that finding the right partner is more important than rushing into marriage.
Abiola story serves as a reflection on the impact of timing, particularly in areas as significant as marriage.
