Nigerian singer Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua, popularly known as Seyi Shay, has revealed she was once a member of the Illuminati., a secret society often linked to global influence and fame conspiracies.
While there have been rumours about some some Nigerian celebrities being affiliated with controversial secret society Seyi Shay’s disclosure marks one of the few times an artist has publicly confirmed such ties.
Speaking on the OffAir Podcast with Gbemi and Toolz, the ‘Yolo Yolo’ crooner revealed that her involvement with Illuminati was a phase in her career, adding that her initiation into the group was “official” at the time.
“That’s when I was in the Illuminati. That’s when I joined the Illuminati. That’s when it was official. Do you understand? I was an Illuminati member”, she said.
She explained that while fans may not know much about such connections, people within the entertainment history ofen recognize those who were linked with the group.
“It is not the fans, guys, It’s the people in the industry…the ones who work with me, work with her, work with that one, she added.
The singer further stated that while fans may not be aware of such ties, insiders in the entertainment industry recognize those who were once associated with the secretive organization.
