The Commissioner representing Anambra State in Federal Character Commission, Rev. Uche Ibeabuchi, has expressed his undivided commitment to attracting federal jobs to youths in Anambra State in order to fight unemployment as well as giving the state her deserved quality representation in the Commission.
He equally stated that Federal Character Commission, through him, will gravitate the government’s employment opportunities to the state and train youths on survival jobs.
Rev Ibeabuchi said it was not by accident the State appointed him to be their representative as he is poised to closing the vacuum of dearth of federal job availability for indigenes of Anambra State.
He stressed that his efforts would harness and develop the potential of youths as partners in nation-building through job creations.
In a statement he delivered to enuciate his roles in the commission, he said “I am in the commission to provide leadership in setting priorities and direction for youth employment and development in Anambra State. This is to encourage and enhance active participation of our youths in all federal governmental and non-governmental programmes that associated with employment, empowerment and developmental projects and activities affecting youths.My presence in commission will direct opportunities for our youths in area of employment and development to explore their inner potential to succeed.
Economically, these are desperate times for us as a country, considering the financial burden and dwindling revenue.
“Youth unemployment and underemployment remains one of the biggest social problems confronting in Anambra State today. The high level of unemployment has been suggested to be one of the principal contributors to the problems of cultism, kidnapping, armed robbery and other social vices that are fast becoming a daily occurrence” my presence will facilitate youth employment and pull resources together to implement federal youth programmes in the state.
