Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, Chief Longers Anyanwu, has congratulated a former governor of the state, Chief Ikedi Godson Ohakim, following his conferment with the Grand Service Star of Imo State (GSSI).
In a congratulatory message issued on Monday, Anyanwu described Ohakim as a compassionate and exemplary leader whose tenure was marked by integrity, loyalty, and effective governance.
He praised the former governor for his leadership style, attention to detail, and commitment to public service, noting that his administration was devoid of corruption.
Anyanwu, who served under the Ohakim administration, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to governance during that period, particularly in the development and implementation of a sustainable agricultural roadmap for Imo State.
“Chief Ohakim is a leader with a large and forgiving heart, deeply loyal to friendship and committed to excellence,” he said.
According to him, the former governor’s approach to leadership left lasting lessons in service and accountability.
He also extended his appreciation to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, CON, GSSI, for conferring the honour on Ohakim, commending the governor’s ingenuity and leadership in recognising past contributions to the state’s development and growth.
