Owerri (9News Nigeria) – The Imo State Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Physical Planning, Hon Noble A. Atulegwu has given a press release as nations around the world mark the workers’ day today, 1st May 2021.

In his press release, Hon Noble A. Atulegwu said that May 1st is a special day for every worker in most countries of the world including Nigeria.

According to Hon Atulegwu, May 1st alternatively known as “MAYDAY” usually resounds the importance of workers whose contributions in their various lines of duty have positively added value to growth, development and prosperity. It is also a day for sober reflection for every worker whose attitude to work is no longer what it ought to be.

He said that workers are the backbone of the economy and that the positive contributions of workers aid in no soupcon the sustenance and growth of every country’s good economy, hence we must continue to contribute positively to growing the economy of Imo State and our country at large.

The Honourable Commissioner further said that he was using this medium to thank the Imo State Governor Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodinma for sanitizing the system and creating an enabling environment for workers in the state.

He finally wished the people of Imo State a happy new month and prayed for them.

I, Hon. Noble A. Atulegwu on behalf of my beloved wife and family joyfully felicitate with my fellow workers, most especially the workers in Imo State Ministry of Lands, Survey and Physical Planning as we mark this year’s Workers’ Day.

Workers are the backbone of the economy. The positive contributions of workers aid in no soupcon the sustenance and growth of every country’s good economy, hence we must continue to contribute positively to growing the economy of Imo State and our country at large.

May 1st is a special day for every worker in most countries of the world including ours and it resounds the importance of workers whose contributions in their various lines of duty have positively added value to growth, development and prosperity. It is also a day for sober reflection for every worker whose attitude to work is no longer what it ought to be.

This is a day to courageously make the decision of turning a new leaf to restore the dignity and honour in labour for which workers are known for. Making that courageous decision today and sticking to it can make a big difference. Make it possible today!
