IMO- All is now set to establish ward Laison officers numbering three hundred and five (305), to represent Governor Hope Uzodinma at the grassroots.
The idea is targetted at taking governance down to the grassroots at the 305 electoral wards in Imo state Nigeria.
9News Nigeria Owerri gathered that Imo Governor will through this ward officers deliver his political mandate across the state.
Recall that the ward councilors in Uzodinma’s administration are those CAMPHOPE officers who worked for the governor during his electioneering and was settled with such positions.
Tomorrow being November 10th, 305 ward officers cum ward councilors will be sworn to Office pending when council election will come.
The Imo state governor therefore has approved the appointment of 305 ward liaison officers and set to inaugurate the newly appointed aides at the government house Thursday 20-11-2022.
Chief Political Adviser/Head, Political Bureau office of the Governor, Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu told the press that the governor will inaugurate the 305 appointees at the Sam Mbakwe Exco chamber.
The New appointees will serve as the Governor’s laison officers in each of the 305 electoral wards of the state to further deepen the dividends of democracy down to the grassroots.
This is in-line with the governor’s plan to establish a strong grassroots representatives pending the election proper.
With this recent development, Hope Uzodinma can now be rest assured of the success of the 11-11-2023 governorship bid, Chief Political Adviser/Head, Political Bureau, Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu hinted.
Governor Uzodinma said he can boost of his President Generals, Youth leaders, Women Leaders and the PROs initially established across the wards.
Adding to the above stated, the 305 ward Laison officers will work accidiously together with other structures of All Progressives Congress APC Imo state to deliver their candidates, 9News Nigeria reports.
