Imo Lands Commissioner Tasks Irete Community To Vote En-Masse For Hope Uzodinma As Adopted

The Imo Lands commissioner, Hon Noble Atulegwu Abianso KSC have tasked the entire voters in Irete community to as a matter of importance endeavour to troop out and vote en-masse the re-election bid of Governor Hope Uzodinma’s as adopted.

This declaration came at a gathering of the Ndom Aladinma Irete from the eighteen villages who converged at the popular community primary school to make the adoption of Governor visible to the people.

Our correspodent reports that it was a joyous moment in Irete as women from all walks of life both indigenes and non-indigenes passed a vote of confidence on Dist.Sen.Hope Uzodinma at the event.

The women spoke with one voice and adopted the Governor as their sole candidate for the November gubernatorial election.

Addressing the mammoth crowd that trouped out in solidarity with the governor, the Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Physical Planning, Hon.Noble Atulegwu tasked them to reciprocate the good gestures of the Shared Prosperity Government to the area by coming out en mass to vote for Governor Uzodinma in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

Speaking further at the Community Primary School, Irete, Hon. Noble Abianso Atulegwu who is a native of the area noted that Umunwaoha block comprising Orogwe, Amakohia Ubi, Ndegwu, Ohii, and Irete communities has not produced a commissioner in the 46 years of Imo state existence.

He pointed out that it took a detribalized leader like Governor Uzodinma to appoint two persons as commissioners, one SA and one GLO all from Irete and so must be supported totally.

Atulegwu reminded the people that to whom much is given, much is expected and called on all to reciprocate the governor’s gesture by helping raise armies of supporters for him to enable him to consolidate the gains of the Recovery, Reconstruction, and Rehabilitation Government.

Speaking further, Hon Atulegwu encouraged the women to wear their thinking caps and think home, stating that Governor Uzodinma has empowered their children more than any other government in history.

Atulegwu noted that presently road construction is going on simultaneously in many communities within the local government like Orogwe/ Ohii Road, Old Nekede Road, Irete/ Egbeada Road, Nekede/ Ihiagwa Road, Porthacour Road, World Bank inner roads, amongst others.

He went further to highlight some of the major works of the governor ranging from the construction of the internal roads within Owerri city as well as Orlu, Okigwe, and Umuahia major roads totaling over 350kms to the prompt payment of 100% salaries and pension to civil servants and retirees, double promotion arrears to all categories of state workers in the state, training of over fifteen thousand Imo youths on digital skills, renovation and equipping of over 50 health centers across the state, dredging of the Oguta Lake which has been approved by the Federal Government and will open up the business potentials of the state, amongst many other projects.

Responding, the woman leader in the area, Mrs Franca Owuamanam promised that they would mobilize both the indigenes and non-indigenes living in the area for Governor Hope Uzodinma.

She charged all the women to start from their homes by making sure that their children and wards come out en mase to vote for the continuation of the Shared Prosperity Government come November this year.

Mrs. Franca Owuamanam assured that they will vote massively for the APC in the gubernatorial polls to consolidate the gains already achieved in the area.

Hon Obinna Duru Fmr IMC councilor in the area also played a significant role together with the ward Chairman, Chief Onunuiwu to make the event a success.
